Clay Mertes
I’ve been in the insurance industry since 2015, learning from top mentors on how to best serve clients and build organizations. My passion for helping people led me here, and I haven’t looked back. Originally from Boulder, CO, I now call Durham, NC home. I have a wonderful wife, Jasmyn, and a puppy, Luna. I look forward to serving you and your family!

Lucero Diaz
I have been part of The Alliance since 2015, where I serve in the Presidents Club department supporting agents in growing their businesses. Through the tools and resources offered within Presidents Club, I help agents improve their sales, recruiting, and team-building strategies. In addition to my full-time role, I actively sell life insurance, which allows me to stay connected to the field and better support our agents. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and my husband, George, and I currently reside in Burlington, North Carolina.

After joining the Alliance Family in 2014, I have worked my way through different departments and roles. Over time, I’ve gotten a real feel for how everything connects and what it takes to keep things moving. My role now is more behind the scenes, helping with project management and making sure things are running smoothly. As a small business owner myself, I want to see you succeed in your business!

Emir Sevim
I was born in Ohio with roots in Turkey and come from an entrepreneurial family—my father owns a textile business, and I helped create the PC socks you received last year. I’ve been with The Alliance for 2.5 years, am life licensed, and graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in Business Administration and Management. I also played professional indoor soccer as a goalie and still compete on club teams. I focus on helping new agents get started, make money, and grow through recruitment.
